To Celebrate Chinese New Year and International Women’s Day, join us in a Spectacular Chinese New Year Chinese Painting and Calligraphy Master Class with renowned artist Irene Liu (廖丽娟 Liu Lai Kuen). Learn Chinese Painting of Chinese Flowers - Representing Four Human Virtues (四君子): Plum Blossoms (梅 - Integrity/Noble), Orchid (蘭 - Beauty/Virtuous/Wise), Chrysanthemum (菊 - Graceful/Independent) and Bamboo (竹 - Freedom/Pure/Humble/Modest). Learn Chinese Calligraphy of the Chinese word Bamboo 竹. Learn how to write One word of your Chinese Name. 

Information about the Artist: 

Irene is an Art and Creative Consultant and Artist with over 50 years of extensive knowledge and cultural experience in both Eastern and Western Art, cultivated across Hong Kong, Australia, and Singapore. She is a Celebrated Winner of several prestigious International CLIO Award in Creativity and Advertising. For 15 years, she owned and operated her own "MultiArts Gallery". Irene has also served as a judge for numerous international art and creative competitions. Her artworks are widely collected by both private collectors and institutions. Irene has volunteered and participated in many activities at the Museum of Chinese Australian History during the mid-1980's to Early 1990s.
