On the 24^th of November 2024, Angela Liang, a Chinese Museum Board Member from Spacious Property Development Group, conducted a very special fundraising workshop in support of the Museum of Chinese Australian History.

An afternoon of learning and engagement with traditional Chinese culture, families were invited to partake in a lesson delivered by Angela, an accomplished traditional ink painter, of traditional Chinese ink calligraphy and painting, in preparation for Chinese New Year in 2025.

Writing both ‘Fu’ and painting festive images, Angela’s best performing students were awarded special prizes, of calligraphic and painting works created by Angela herself. Children who attended were also treated to a talk about dragons and the twelve zodiac animals, delivered by Mark Wang the Chinese Museum’s CEO.

Families were encouraged to make donations to the Chinese Museum and the largest donor was rewarded with a prize of an exquisite traditional Chinese Buddhist sutra written by Angela.

The Chinese Museum acknowledges the kind contribution in catering for the event came by David’s Hotpot. The Chinese Museum also thanks Angela and her team from Spacious for initiating and driving the event.
